Jesus is a man of joy and it only follows that His followers be people of joy! I believe that bearing fruit, and remaining in Christ are not matters of arduous toil or drudging boredom but result in lives filled to the brim and even overflowing with joy!!!

Tonight I?d like to begin by making a statement: Your emotions have a profound affect upon the way you feel. That is if you are sad you will feel sad. If you are angry you will feel angry!! Now at first glance this statement may seem an obvious one and not worth thinking twice about but tuck it away for now and let?s continue?

This message looks at the emphasis Jesus placed on remaining in Him. Looking at this word reveals the astounding truth that God doesn’t want us to do more for Him, but that He wants us to be more with Him!!! This message answers the questions: what does this mean? How do we do it (remain)? And what does this tell us about the life of a Christian?

One of the important emphases Jesus made in this discourse with His disciples was that the branches of a vine produce fruit. People of the Vine therefore are to be fruitbearers. This message examines the differences between those with no fruit, some fruit and an abundance of fruit.

…by the way, have you ever noticed that the word “but” often crops up whenever there is a discussion about the future? Whenever there is a crucial decision you have to make in your life? Or whenever there is a committee of people planning something? But is a word used most often by what I call Vision Vandals ? that is, people who think something just cannot be done, and therefore shouldn?t even be tried.
